Gravado ao vivo no Teatro Municipal de São Luiz, em Novembro de 2008, Boato é uma mistura entre antologia e álbum de originais, ou seja, tem doze temas novos, apresentados e gravados ao vivo, sendo os restantes uma revisitação a várias fases da carreira do cantor e compositor: temas de Belle Chase Hotel, Quinteto Tati, Ópera do Falhado, entre outros. O concerto foi interpretado por JP Simões e por Sérgio Costa, tendo como convidados Luanda Cozetti, Manuel João Vieira, Norton Daiello e Tomás Pimentel.
